Private Cataract

Terms of use

Last reviewed 5 October 2026 by Pete, editor (not a clinician). Figures checked 5 October 2026.

Private Cataract is an information and introduction service run by PASECOM GROUP LTD. We are not a clinic and do not give medical advice, operate, diagnose, refer or hold a date. Prices come from PHIN and clinics' own pages and can change. A clinic's own quote and terms are what count.

Who are we?

This website is run by PASECOM GROUP LTD, trading as Private Cataract, company number 17139327, registered in England and Wales, registered office 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE. Contact: hello@private-cataract.co.uk or 01455 242326. By using the website you agree to these terms.

What is the service?

We publish information about private cataract surgery in England: published prices, what packages include, lens options and the NHS wait. If you ask us to, using the form, we pass your request to one independent eye clinic or hospital that covers your area so it can contact you. That is the whole service.

We are not a clinic, not the NHS, not an optician and not a surgeon.

Is anything on this site medical advice?

No. The editor, Pete, is not a clinician. The information is general and may not apply to you. Speak to an optician, your GP or an eye surgeon about your eyes. Sudden loss of vision, a curtain across your sight, flashes with a shower of floaters, or a painful red eye: go to A&E or call 999.

How accurate are the prices?

We copy prices from PHIN and clinics' published pages and show the date we checked them. Clinics can change prices at any time. The quote and terms the clinic gives you are what count.

What happens when I submit a request?

Submitting the form is a request for contact, not a booking. If a partner clinic covers your area, it may call or email you. Nothing is booked and no date is held until you agree it with the clinic. If no clinic covers your area, the next page tells you so and nobody will contact you about that request. Your contract for any treatment is with the clinic, not with us.

Do I pay you anything?

No. A partner clinic may pay us a fee for the introduction. See how we make money.

What must I not do?

Do not submit a request for someone else without their permission, give false details, send spam or abuse, or interfere with the website.

Our liability to you

We take reasonable care to keep the information accurate, but we do not promise it is complete, current or suitable for you. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it, or for what a clinic does. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.

Price rows link to clinics' and other organisations' websites. We do not control them. A link is not a recommendation, and a clinic being listed does not mean it is a partner.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Complaints about our service: email hello@private-cataract.co.uk and we will reply within 14 days. Complaints about treatment should go to the clinic first; you can also contact the Care Quality Commission about a registered provider.

Does submitting the form book an operation?

No. It asks one partner clinic to contact you. Nothing is booked and no date is held until you agree it with the clinic.
